Ánh Adams is a PhD Student in History at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Her research interests include gender, childhood, and the carceral state. Anh is interested in using public humanities and public engagement to better understand how the carceral state pervades daily life, both historically and in the present.

NJ Monuments To Migration And Labor is a three-year initiative honoring immigrants’ contributions to the state. Through public events, and monument installations, it celebrates their resilience, hard work, and cultural impact, blending art, history, and storytelling to inspire reflection and appreciation.
