About this Event

Monument Artist Chat Travieso and the NJMML team invited you to participate in the community planting for En Root. With support from the Xerces Society, NJMML will be planting eleven different species of flowers – from asclepias tuberosa to verbena peruviana – that attract Monarch butterflies and other important pollinators. Get your hands dirty and help complete the final stage of the installation, by filling in the planters that form the gateway structure.

NJMML landscape architect Alexis Lo and will answer questions about En Root, and to guide people in the plantings.

Dirt, shovels, and plants provided – wear gardening clothes!

Snacks and refreshments.
