Arlene Fernández is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of American Studies working in collaboration with the New Jersey Monuments to Migration and Labor Project.

She writes and teaches about the cultural politics of subaltern life, place, and urban media/technology. Her current project is on bodegas and the digital city.
