Chanelle René is an award-winning painter and mural artist based in Southern New Jersey. Her figurative work explores female identity through Black culture, self-essence, and (re)claiming spaces.

Notably, her Grant Street Beach series celebrates Cape May’s historic Black beach. A self-taught artist, René’s work has exhibited nationally and internationally.
