My piece is a labor of love entitled "An Eye on Purpose." My desire here was to not only document what this process was as an initiative, but to embody what the feeling and connectivity of purpose was like.
Whether it be those who we are hoping to highlight, the other artists working on their pieces, or those who attended the dialogues and were vocal about their communities, their heritages, and their hopes beyond their experiences.
It was a duty to capture the life and times amongst what so many are experiencing. And in this duty I found purpose.
